Garden 

This is our second home in Houston. The first time around, we were too busy trying to make a living to enjoy fixing it up. We are enjoying this home a lot more, however. We have are slowly adding the decorating and landscaping touches that appeal to us. On spring and fall evenings, we can sit in the back yard and watch the airliners pass over on final approach to George Bush Intercontinental. We're several miles from the field, but our house is directly off the approach end of the new third runway.

We planted a banana tree as an ornamental. Much to our surprise, it bore fruit in 2003. The bananas, we learned, were apple bananas. Very tasty, and more than enough to go around. We are hoping for a repeat this year � stay tuned.	Hibiscus
